In the hierarchy of Vedic knowledge, we have four Vedas in it and these are Sama Veda, Rig Veda, yajur Veda, and Atharva Veda. These historical Vedas also include some sub-Vedas such as Ayur Veda, Danur Veda, Gandharva Veda, and Artha Veda, it also has some components (6 LIMBS). Yoga is one of these 6 subordinates LIMBE. There are several other types of yoga as well, like Gyan, bhakti, karma, raj, Hatha, mantra, shiv, and, and many more. Rig Veda is one of the oldest and most secret books in Indian history. It’s about 8 to10000years old, and yoga is part of this secret literature. Maharshi Patanjali was considered to be an authority on yoga. Lord Krishna and many in India are also spokes for yoga. In the middle ages, it has been observed that the practice of yoga was confined only to the royal class. It was taught to the gurukuls. In today’s world, the efforts of many spiritual and religious leaders of India have opened the doors of yoga for the common man and to each and every people in the world.

Yoga is the divine science that has been passed from generation to generation. Yoga is the union of mind, body, and spirit. Yoga is part of the Santana Dharma, which is the ancient wisdom tradition of the South Asians in India. Yoga is the unification of an individual soul with the supreme soul. Yoga practices have a positive effect on a person in a spiritual sense. When our body, mind, and breath are aligned, our energy system vibrates at the same frequency as a universal vibration, which is represented by the syllable OM.

The god needs a name, and the name of the god in Vedas is Om. Om is also called PRANAV. Om represents the formless aspect of god without any designation and attributes. Om is particularly significant because it has that powerful cosmic sound. The whole universe is pervaded by Om. In our Vedas, the Om always comes at the beginning of mantras as a seed. Om has great importance in yoga practices. OM is a sacred sound of the divine which represents the sound of the universe. Chanting of Om has so much power to make your body and mind relax. Correct chanting of Om, it fills your body with energy, tranquility, and peace.  Om is the sound, which is the most significant medium of concentration.

Yoga and Ananda yoga is a truly spiritual practice because the goals of this practice are basically, to harmonies your body, bring these energies deep into your spine, and uplift energies.

 

Yoga practices have a positive effect on a person in a spiritual sense. It has seven spiritual laws; these laws act as a guide or a direction to help people to find out inner peace through love and compassion for themselves and other people. Always remember if we act with kindness and humbleness, we will receive affection in return.

 

During these practices, you can experience those higher states of consciousness. Yoga is not a simple exercise system, but it is more beyond nature. It is a profound understanding of human mechanics not only in the physical aspects but in all dimensions of the human being. Yoga is not a one-day practice, bringing this as a tradition or awareness for the new generation.
